NowCare Medical Center opened in May of 1981 and has become a leader in Urgent Care and Occupational Health . We now have four Urgent Care facilities in the Hampton Roads area, located in Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Suffolk. Walk-in visits are welcome, in which no appointment is necessary in order to be seen. Our offices offer convenient evening and weekend hours. NowCare will accept most major insurances and you can refer to the insurance tab to find out if we are a provider for your plan.

Already a patient with Bayview Physicians Group? Our urgent care centers have access to your Bayview Physicians Group medical record if you see another Bayview doctor. Just walk right in to one of our urgent care centers.

When should I go to the Emergency Room?

All life-threatening situations should be addressed at the Emergency Room of the nearest hospital. If you are experiencing any of the following signs and/or symptoms, you need to visit the Emergency Room:

Pain in your chest
Having a difficult time breathing
Head trauma
Severe bleeding
Sudden loss of vision or blurred vision
Change in your mental status

When should I visit an Urgent Care Center?

Urgent Care Centers meet the needs of important but less severe medical concerns. Our Urgent Care facilities accept walk-ins, where no appointment is needed to be seen. Also, we offer extended and weekend office hours, so it's convenient for patients to be seen after their primary care physician's office has closed.
