Biography

Muhammad Shahid, MD, is board certified in internal medicine. He graduated with his medical degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College, University of Health Sciences in Pakistan. Dr. Shahid completed his internal medicine residency at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and went on to complete a geriatric medicine fellowship at Albert Einstein School of Medicine – Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York.

His clinical interests include helping geriatric patients with the management of multiple and complex diseases, as well as sepsis, heart failure, and respiratory disease management. He enjoys educating patients about disease processes, as he believes this understanding helps patients in disease management and medication compliance.

In his free time, Dr. Shahid enjoys hiking, running, and participating in other outdoor activities. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi.
