Biography

Nicole Beam, MSN, FNP-BC, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. She received her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialization from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Ms. Beam is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Ms. Beam has more than 13 years of nursing experience in emergency medicine, caring for patients of all ages with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Her clinical interests include family medicine, preventive care, diabetes, hypertension, chronic disease management, and patient education. As the parent of a child with diabetes, she understands firsthand the daily challenges that patients and families face. That experience has fueled her passion for helping patients take control of their health and feel confident managing chronic conditions.

Ms. Beam is a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners (VCNP) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Originally from Southern Maryland, Ms. Beam has called Virginia Beach home since 2007. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, relaxing at the beach, and taking her son dirt bike riding
