Biography

Kelly is a Tidewater native. She was born in Portsmouth, grew up in the Western Branch area of Chesapeake and now resides in Suffolk. She graduated from Old Dominion University in 2002 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. While in school, she quickly learned that she had a passion for women’s health and started her career immediately after graduation as a labor and delivery nurse at Maryview Medical Center. During her stay there she became a certified inpatient obstetric nurse. When the decision was made to further her education, she had no doubts that she wanted to continue in the women’s health field. Kelly received her Master of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion in 2006 and became certified by the National Certification Corporation as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She now provides care across the age spectrum from adolescents to post menopause.

Kelly chose this field because she wants to take what can be a stressful or uncomfortable office visit for many women and make it a positive experience.  By having a positive experience, it encourages women to return for recommended health care or complications that need evaluation and makes them more at ease when they do come in.

In her personal time she loves having her toes in the sand by the ocean and spending time with friends and family.
