Biography

Dr. Akinwale Akingbule, MD, MSc, is a compassionate and empathetic internal medicine physician with a strong commitment to improving patient health outcomes. He earned his medical degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, a Master of Science in Community Health from Western Illinois University, and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Cape Fear Valley Health/Harnett Health in North Carolina.

Dr. Akingbule specializes in adult medicine and the management of acute medical conditions. He is particularly passionate about caring for patients with chronic diseases and leverages his background in both medicine and community health to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. His goal is to help patients achieve better long-term health outcomes while reducing hospital readmissions. He is also a strong advocate for addressing the social determinants of health that impact patient well-being and access to care.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Akingbule has contributed to medical research and has published work in the fields of preventive medicine and cardiometabolic health.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Akingbule enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends. He also has a passion for reading and listening to inspirational audiobooks.
