Biography

Andrew M. Chandler is a board-certified Physician Assistant and certified Athletic Trainer with a strong foundation in orthopedic sports medicine. He earned his Advanced Studies Diploma from Grassfield High School in Chesapeake, Virginia, a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Longwood University, and a Master of Physician Assistant degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS), where he also served as a student ambassador.

Andrew’s clinical background spans youth recreation to NCAA Division I athletics. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he transitioned from the public school system to support emergency departments and outpatient clinics—an experience that fueled his passion to pursue advanced medical training. While completing his PA rotations at EVMS, he recognized the pressing shortage of primary care providers in his home region of Hampton Roads. This realization strengthened his commitment to providing comprehensive, relationship-based care in the primary care setting, with a focus on prevention and reducing unnecessary emergency visits. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), licensed by the Virginia Department of Health Professions, and actively involved in the AAPA, VAPA, and WAPA. Outside of his professional role, Andrew enjoys spending time with loved ones, traveling with his partner, attending sporting events, and exploring his passion for music.
