Biography

Bryan Barbato, DPM, is a board-certified surgeon and educator serving as a Professor at EVMS/ODU and the Director of Research for the Podiatry/Foot and Ankle Surgical Residency. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from James Madison University and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida. Dr. Barbato then completed a three-year Podiatric Surgical Residency within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Virginia Tech Carilion in Roanoke, Virginia.

Dr. Barbato specializes in reconstructive surgery and lower extremity trauma. His clinical interests include limb salvage and complex reconstruction of the rearfoot. Additionally, he treats a wide spectrum of podiatric conditions, including sports injuries and arthritic conditions of the foot and ankle.
