Biography

Elizabeth Cochran Ward, MD, received her Bachelor of Science in biology and literary & cultural studies from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. From there she received her Master of Applied Science in zoology and tropical ecology from James Cook University in Townsville, Australia. Following this, Dr. Cochran Ward went on to receive her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Sydney in Sydney, Australia, and completed her family medicine residency with Portsmouth Family Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.

Dr. Cochran Ward has been working in urgent care since returning to the Hampton Roads area. Her clinical interests include women’s health issues and urgent care. Elizabeth currently resides in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, with her family and a farm full of cows, chickens, blue heelers, and bees. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and trying new recipes.
