Ishraq Kabir, MD, received his Bachelor of Science in biology from State University of New York at Geneseo in Geneseo, New York. He then completed his Master of Science in biomedical sciences at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, where he also received his Doctor of Medicine degree and completed his general surgery residency. From here, he completed a trauma/surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Maryland’s Shock Trauma Center. Dr. Kabir’s clinical interests include trauma, emergency general surgery, hernia, critical care, general abdominal surgery, and advanced laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Kabir is board certified in general surgery. He is also a member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Medical Association. He is fluent in English and Bengali. In his free time, Dr. Kabir enjoys snowboarding, playing football and basketball, Bhangra, and traveling.
