Biography

John Battin, MD, received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in St. George, Grenada. Returning to Blacksburg, Virginia, Dr. Battin completed his residency in internal medicine at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery. Some of his clinical interests include critical care, nephrology, and pain management.

Dr. Battin specializes in internal medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM), and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). Some of his personal interests include playing chess, tennis, and basketball, as well as learning about finance and fishing.
