Biography

Kristin Ramsey, DO, is a native to the Hampton Roads area. She graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in biology. After undergrad, she went on to receive her medical degree from Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia, where she graduated magna cum laude. She completed her family medicine residency at Danville Regional Medical Center in Danville, Virginia, where she was Chief Resident her final year.

Dr. Ramsey displays compassion in her care towards patients, going the extra mile to ensure their health needs are met. Her professional interest includes women’s health, osteopathic manipulative therapy, preventative medicine, and pediatric health. She was co-founder of Date Smart with Teen SAFETY, an intervention program for at-risk teens, and strives to promote healthy lifestyle choices in this group.

Dr. Ramsey is board certified in family medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, Medical Society of Virginia, and American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.
