Biography

Megan Mahaffey is a Family Nurse Practitioner who holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sentara College of Health Sciences.

In her clinical practice, Megan is dedicated to partnering with patients through a strong emphasis on preventive wellness, health promotion, and building long-term, trusting relationships. She prioritizes patient education and shared decision-making to help individuals set and achieve realistic wellness goals, while actively guiding them in chronic disease prevention and management. Megan believes in empowering her patients to take charge of their health through sustainable nutrition, movement, and healthy lifestyle habits.

Outside of caring for her patients, Megan enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends and staying active through weightlifting. She also loves cooking and exploring new, nutritious recipes, trying out local restaurants and coffee shops, and tackling home projects, decorating, and DIY activities.
