Biography

Millicent Pyka, FNP-C, received her Bachelor of Science in health science from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, graduating magna cum laude. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mrs. Pyka has previous experience as an emergency room and trauma nurse, and has special interests in trauma patients and critical care medicine.

Mrs. Pyka is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, and the Emergency Nurses Association. Though she is originally from Florida, Mrs. Pyka has lived in Virginia Beach for over 20 years and considers the area home. In her free time, Mrs. Pyka enjoys hiking, spending time outdoors, and watching her three sons play baseball and basketball.
