Biography

Dr. Mohsin Chowdhury is the Director of Interventional Cardiology with Bayview Cardiovascular Associates, a Bayview Physicians Group practice, and is an interventional cardiologist at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center and Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.  He received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and graduated with a distinction in clinical research. He completed his internal medicine residency training at Yale-New Haven Hospital/Yale School of Medicine in Connecticut. He then completed his cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Chowdhury is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology, and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI).  He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI).

Dr. Chowdhury enjoys all aspects of cardiology and interventional cardiology and has a special interest in advanced lipidology, vascular medicine, valvular heart disease, complex coronary and peripheral vascular interventions, and mechanical circulatory support. He also has an active research portfolio and has presented his research at regional, national and international meetings.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities, and traveling.
