Biography

Dr. Kamumbu earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) before receiving her Medical Degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She then completed her specialized residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Western Michigan University Homer Stryker School of Medicine.

She provides a full spectrum of obstetric and gynecologic care, with special clinical interests in prenatal care, preventative women’s health, and the management of benign gynecologic conditions such as abnormal bleeding, fibroids, and ovarian cysts. She holds advanced certifications in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery techniques including Da Vinci robotic surgery. 

Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Kamumbu enjoys expressing her creativity through art and interior design, finding joy in styling welcoming spaces. She stays active and connected to global rhythms through Latin and African dance, and she loves exploring diverse cultures and heritages by experiencing their unique foods.
