Biography

Walter Battin, MD, received his Bachelor of Science in health sciences from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. His Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree was completed at St. George’s University, School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Moving back to Virginia, Dr. Battin completed his internal medicine internship and residency at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery in Blacksburg.

His clinical interests include cardiology and infectious disease. Dr. Battin specializes in internal medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA). In his free time, he enjoys fishing, playing tennis, and traveling.
