Biography

Xipi Amin, PA-C, a Virginia Beach native, earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology from Virginia Tech prior to completing her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Eastern Virginia Medical School.

Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Ms. Amin gained diverse clinical experience across several areas of medicine. She worked as a medical scribe in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine, and Urology, as well as an Emergency Department Technician and Medical Assistant. These experiences provided her with a strong clinical foundation and an appreciation for caring for patients across a wide range of medical conditions.

During her Physician Assistant training at EVMS, Ms. Amin developed a particular interest in cardiovascular medicine. Her clinical interests include preventive cardiology, coronary artery disease, hypertension, heart failure, and cardiac arrhythmias. She is especially passionate about patient education and helping patients better understand their cardiovascular health, risk factors, and treatment options.

Ms. Amin is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is a member of both the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) and the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants (VAPA). She is also fluent in Gujarati and Hindi, allowing her to communicate with and care for patients from a variety of backgrounds.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active at the gym, traveling the world, relearning the piano, and baking.
