Biography

L. Michelle Robbins, MD, received her Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in biotechnology from Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, graduating magna cum laude. Thereafter, she completed her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in West Indies, Grenada, graduating cum laude. She completed her family medicine residency at EVMS Ghent Family Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia, serving as OB Chief. Her clinical interests include complex chronic disease, neuropathology, addressing socioeconomic disparity and rural health.

She is an avid humanitarian and has served in medical missions/services both foreign and domestic, for which she has been inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Additionally, she has received the Public Service Commendation Medal from the Department of the Army for her humanitarian service as Chief Medical Officer at the Camp Atterbury Field Hospital during Operation Allies Welcome.

Dr. Robbins is board certified in family medicine and is a member of the American Association of Family Physicians, the American College of Physicians, and the American Medical Association. In her free time, she enjoys photography, scuba diving, horseback riding, camping, hiking, kayaking, painting and spending time with her family.
