Biography

Maureen Serem, MD, was born in Kenya, raised in Canada, and trained in the United States. She received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, where she graduated magna cum laude. She received her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California, and completed her family medicine residency at Portsmouth Family Medicine for Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. Her clinical interests include preventive medicine, women’s health, diet, and nutrition.

Dr. Serem is board certified in family medicine, and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. In her free time, Dr. Serem enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and cooking.
