Biography

Michael Coulter, AGACNP-BC, received his diploma in registered nursing from Sentara College of Health Sciences in Chesapeake, Virginia, before graduating cum laude with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He then obtained his Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from Walden University to become an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, where he was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society before graduating in 2018.

His clinical interests include pulmonary and critical care medicine where he cares for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit and serves as the program director for the ICU’s Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner team at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Coulter is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, he has lived in the U.S. for the past 16 years, where he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children on their small family farm in Virginia Beach.
